COMMENDING JAMES H. GREEN
ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, James H. Green, affectionately referred to as "Jim ", is retiring from his
position as Youth Services Counselor, effective August 7, 1992, thereby bringing to a
close 12 years of dedicated service with the City of Rohnert Park; and
WHEREAS,, Jim was hired as a Volunteer Youth Services Intern with the Rohnert
Park Department of Public Safety Youth Services Bureau on September 10, 1980; and
WHEREAS, Jim proved to be a dedicated and hard working individual and on
October 1, 1981, was transIitioned to Regular Part -time Youth Services Counselor; and
WHEREAS, the City's Youth Services Bureau has received much acclaim for its work
with juveniles, parents, and school representatives, due in part to the efforts of Jim
Green, and
WHEREAS, the lives of many youths in our community have benefited from Jim's
caring and sincere interest in them; and
WHEREAS, Jim` has performed his duties and responsibilities in a competent manner
and has been well known for his courtesy, honesty, dependability and reliability; and
WHEREAS, Jim will be sorely missed by those associated with him during his years
with the Department of.Public Safety.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, Linda Spiro, Mayor, on behalf of the
Rohnert Park City Council,` do hereby go on record as expressing appreciation and
gratitude to James H. Green for his many years of dedicated public service with the City
of Rohnert Park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be suitably prepared
and presented to "Jim" as evidence of the City Council's appreciation.
