A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK
Commending
PAMELA GIBSON, CITY MANAGER of the CITY OF SONOMA
On the Occasion ofher Retirement
WHEREAS, City Manager Pamela Gibson is stepping down after six years of outstanding service to the City of Sonoma; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Rohnert Park City Council as well as many of the staff and citizens in our community are appreciative of the
dependable and highly professional work performed by Pamela; and
WHEREAS, City Manager Gibson personifies many qualities desired in a leader such as a strong moral character and good people skills.
These leadership qualities have contributed to not only the smooth operation of the City of Sonoma but also to her working relationships with
other cities; and
WHEREAS, Gibson's accomplishments as City Manager began with restructuring the City organization and developing an Economic
Development Program. In just six short years, she created a balanced budget, negotiated acquisition of land for a Veteran's portion of
Mountain Cemetery, initiated construction of a new Fire Station and instigated the development of the Firehouse Village affordable housing
development. City Manager Gibson has a passion for writing which she utilized as a newspaper reporter and author of six published books on
Change County history. Her drive and accomplishments serve as an inspiration to other Sonoma County cities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park that it does hereby extend our best wishes to
Pamela Gibson for a healthy and fulfilling future with her husband Mark and children David and Shelley.
