A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK AWARDING A
CONTRACT TO JONES HALL FOR DISCLOSURE COUNSEL SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City has previously issued the 1993 Limited
Obligation Refunding Bonds to consolidate the 1915 Act Improvement
Bonds for the three assessment districts, Camino Colegio, Wilfred
Avenue and Millbrae Avenue; and
WHEREAS, because of lower interest rates, this obligation can be
refunded and result in a substantial savings to the parcel owners in
the Wilfred Avenue and Millbrae Avenue assessment districts; and
WHEREAS, the Camino Colegio assessment district matures in 2002
and will be removed from the new refunding issue; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the issuance of the 2001
Consolidated Refunding District to refund the 1993 Limited Obligation
Refunding Bonds for the Wilfred Avenue and Millbrae Avenue assessment
districts; and
WHEREAS, the legal firm of Jones Hall has proposed performing the
services as Disclosure Counsel for this refunding issuance for a fee
of $14,000; and
WHEREAS, Jones Hall is specially trained and experienced to
provide the services as Disclosure Counsel; and
WHEREAS, the City has secured Jones Hall services in the past for
other bond issues and has been satisfied with their service
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council does hereby award
the contract for Disclosure Counsel to the firm Jones Hall.
DULY AND REGULARLY ADOPTED by the Rohnert Park City Council this
27th day of November, 2001.
