Mayor Ahanotu called the joint regular meeting to order at 5:04 pm, the notice for which being
legally noticed on May 21, 2015.

Larry Hoburg spoke regarding three (3) issues: 1. Speeding on Mitchell, Magnolia, and
University area; 2. The moratorium on taxi permits should end because it is hurting
current taxi business owners; and 3. Wasting of water with the Snyder sprinklers watering
the sidewalk.

of Purchase and Sale and Joint Escrow Instructions with Anthony Lieu and Oriana Biela-
Lieu, and authorizing the Mayor to execute the Agreement and take all other actions
necessary to consummate the transaction contemplated by the resolution.

13. MAYORS' & COUNCILMEMBERS' ASSOCIATION MATTERS
Consideration of supporting "letters of interest" for appointments to vacancies by
the Mayors and Councilmembers Association Board of Directors on June 11, 2015
Recommended Action(s): consider letters requesting support for appointment to ABAG
Executive Board, ABAG Executive Board Alternate, and Sonoma County Agricultural
Preservation and Open Space District Citizens Advisory Committee.

ACTION: Moved /seconded (Belforte /Stafford) to give the Mayor authority to vote
for those submitting letters of interest for the five (5) vacancies.

14. COMMITTEE / LIAISON/ OTHER REPORTS
Senior Citizens Advisory Commission (5/21) Councilmember Stafford reported on the
installation of three new members, the decision to charge for coffee, review of floor and
chair samples, hours of operation are to remain the same, and the meeting was well
attended.
Economic Development Committee (5/15) Assistant City Manager Schwartz reported the
committee worked on developing a business attraction strategy for the City. City Council
will receive a report at the June 9, 2015, City Council Meeting.

Technology Ad Hoc Committee - Assistant City Manager Schwartz reported the City has
taken action to improve the disaster recovery backup and once the budget is adopted
more improvements will be taken. The Web Redesign Project Team has met.
15. COMMUNICATIONS
Councilmember Mackenzie asked about the settlement proceedings regarding the
composting issue. Assistant City Manager Schwartz reported composting at the central
landfill will be closed soon. Rates will be increasing to cover out - hauling costs. There is a
plan to bring composting back to Sonoma County.
16. MATTERS FROM /FOR COUNCIL
Councilmember Mackenzie reported on the Memorial Day ceremony at the Community
Center. Volunteers are needed to put the flags in place the evening prior for the 2016
event.
