SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
Monday, Apnl I0,2017
The Parks and Recreation Commission of the City of Rohnert Park met this date at City Hall,
130 Avram Avenue, City Council Chambers, Rohnert Park, for a special meeting to commence
at 5:00 p.m.
Call to order
The meeting was called to order by Chair Griffin at 5:02 p.m.
Item 1. Roll Call
Present: Chair Griffin, Vice-Chair Black; Commissioners Bird, Borr, Canterbury
Absent: None.
Staff Present: Cindy Bagley, Community Services Manager
John McArthur, Director of Public Works and Community Services
Renée Eger, Administrative Assistant
Item2. Pledge of Allegiance
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Chair Griffin.
Item 3. Acknowledgment of Meeting Agenda Posting
Community Services Manager Bagley acknowledged posting of the regular meeting agenda in
the required public places per Brown Act requirements.
Item 4. Public Comment
None.
Item 5. All Weather Field at Sunrise Park
^. Staff Report
Director McArthur presented a PowerPoint on the options considered for placement
of an all-weather field at Sunrise Park. Director McArthur also extended the Mayor's
invitation to the Commission to attend the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, April
11th at 5:00 p.m. (City Council Chambers, 130 Avram Avenue) to speak on the item
'' ' presented to Council.
b. Discussion
The Commission commented conceming the placement of fields adjacent and
requested additional information regarding additional park usage and availability.
Director McArthur responded that there would likely be an opportunity to provide
inpul as details are ftnalized and discussed the extended timeline beyond a July 3l't
completion date.
Item 6. Adjournment
There being no further business, Chair Griffin adjourned the special meeting of the Parks and
Recreation Commission at 5:54 p.m.
