A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO INCREASE FY 17-18 APPROPRIATIONS
FROM GENERAL FUND FOR MAJOR MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR PROJECTS AT THE
LIBRARY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park adopted the FY 2017-18 Budget on
June 13, 2017; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to amend the budget; and,
WHEREAS, the City has identified major maintenance and repair projects at the Library; and,
WHEREAS, staff identified multiple essential Library building systems that warrant urgent
repair or replacement including the boiler, HVAC controls system and the lighting control system; and,
WHEREAS, staff is proposing to fund identified urgent building projects from General Fund;
and,
WHEREAS, at the end of FY 16-17 excess fund balances were assigned by the City Manager
and Finance Director; and,
WHEREAS, one of these assignments was to the Infrastructure Reserve, and the City desires to
use these funds for Library projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park
that it does hereby authorize the Director of Finance, or his/her designee, to increase appropriation and
transfer $300,000 from the General Fund to the Infrastructure Reserve Fund, and to appropriate
$300,000 for Library projects.
