(SSU ASI) reported on various issues such as housing affordability resolutions, political efficacy efforts, hunger and homeless awareness week, culture fest events, friends and family weekend, 2025 graduation initiatives, recent poor air quality concerns on campus, interests surrounding active shooter plans and announced upcoming budget forums being held from 2:00 p.m.to 4:00 p.m. on November 27, 2018. 5. Recommended Action(s): Provide direction to staff to finalize the proposed Appendix to the Purchasing Policy: Emergency and Disaster Purchasing Policy and return to City Council for adoption. ACTION: By Consensus (none opposed), City Council directed staff to add a provision allowing authorization through electronic or verbal means when the Mayor or a Councilmember is physically unavailable to provide a signature and bring back the final Appendix to the Purchasing Policy: Emergency and Disaster Purchasing Policy for adoption at a future City Council meeting.
