Appearances
Conditional Use Permit
Technical Advisor, Norm Weisbrod, presented the staff report.
The applicant proposes using a portion of the Buchanan Food Services parcel,
PL2013-042UP
5980 State Farm Drive, for a 65 foot high monopole and related ground mounted
electrical equipment. The parcel to be leased by the applicant is approximately
Michael Mooney for
50 by 50 feet with a 12 foot wide access easement out to State Farm Drive. The
Capital Telecom
enclosure will include the monopole, an 11 by 20 foot equipment enclosure, future
representing AT&T
diesel generator, equipment meter bank and four future 10 by 20 foot lease areas
for future equipment enclosures. The equipment and monopole is enclosed by a
6 foot high chain link fence with 3 strands of barb wire across the top. As
mentioned above, the height of the monopole is 65 feet. However, there is a note
that it can be extended to 80 feet. Under the recent modification to the Zoning
Code, after an antenna pole receives conditional use approval and is constructed,
if it is modified in the future with additional or new antenna structures that does
not increase the height of the supporting pole, it can be approved subject to
Administrative Review. However, if the height of the pole is increased, than the
structure requires a new Conditional Use Permit approval. Ms. Ponton
recommended approval of the application as proposed.
