A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK, CALIFORNIA,
DENYING FILE NO. PL2006-042: CORRIDOR CONCEPT PLANS AND
IMPLEMENATION STRATEGY FOR COMMERCE BOULEVARD,
SOUTHWEST BOULEVARD, AND STATE FARM DRIVE
(City of Rohnert Park)
WHEREAS, the City Council directed Staff to prepare corridor studies for
Commerce Boulevard, Southwest Boulevard, and State Farm Drive;
WHEREAS, the firm of RBF Consultants ("RBF") was hired to prepare the
studies;
WHEREAS, drafts of the Corridor Concept Plans and Implementation Strategy
("Plans") were submitted to the Planning Commission for review as Planning Application
No. PL2006-042;
WHEREAS, Planning Application No. PL2006-042 was processed in the time
and manner prescribed by State and local law;
WHEREAS, on February 12, 2009, the Planning Commission reviewed Planning
Application No. PL2006-042 during a scheduled public meeting at which time interested
persons had an opportunity to testify either in support of or opposition to the project; and
WHEREAS, at the February 12, 2009, Planning Commission meeting, upon
hearing and considering all testimony and arguments of all persons desiring to be heard,
the Commission considered all the facts relating to Planning Application No. PL2006-
042 and voted to direct staff to prepare a resolution denying the application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission does
hereby deny Planning Application No. PL2006-042, the Corridor Concept Plans and
Implementation Strategy as reviewed at the February 12, 2009 Planning Commission
meeting. This denial is based on the Planning Commission review of Planning
Application No. PL2006-042 and public testimony received at the public hearing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said action shall not be deemed final until
the appeal period has expired and that the appeal period shall be 10 working days from
the date of said action. No building permits shall be issued until the appeal period has
expired, providing there are no appeals.
