A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK, CALIFORNIA,
MAKING A FINDING OF GENERAL PLAN CONFORMITY FOR
THE FUTURE SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY
LOCATED AT THE WESTERN TERMINUS OF HEATHER LANE
(APN 160-090-062)
(City of Rohnert Park)
WHEREAS, the property located at the western terminus of Heather Lane is
designated "Low Density Residential" on the City's General Plan Land Use Diagram;
WHEREAS, the property is of limited size and shape to support an independent
single-family residential development;
WHEREAS, the subject property could be utilized as an access point to a City -
owned property to the west, which is located in the unincorporated County of Sonoma
and is proposed for future sale to a private party;
WHEREAS, Planning Application No. 2009-019GP, General Plan Conformity
Finding, was processed in the time and manner prescribed by State and local law;
WHEREAS, on July 23, 2009, the Planning Commission reviewed Planning
Application No. 2009-019GP, General Plan Conformity Finding, during a scheduled
public meeting; and
WHEREAS, at the July 23, 2009 Planning Commission meeting, upon hearing
and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard,
the Commission considered all the facts relating to Planning Application No. 2009-
019GP, General Plan Conformity Finding.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
ROHNERT PARK DOES RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
Section 2. Finding. The Planning Commission makes the following Finding
of General Plan Conformity for the future sale of property located at the western terminus
of Heather Lane (APN 160-090-062): The City of Rohnert Park's future sale of
Assessor's Parcel Number 160-090-062 is consistent with the City's General Plan and its
designation of the subject sites as "Low Density Residential," as the site is of limited size
to support an independent use and provides a logical access point to the property
immediately west, which the City intends to sell in the future to a private party.
Section 3. Environmental Clearance. The project is categorically exempt from
the California Environmental Quality Act, pursuant to California Code of Regulations
Title 14, Chapter 3, Section 15332 (Class 32 — In -Fill Development Projects).
