A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK
AUTHORZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT REAL PROPERTY BY GRANT
DEED AND EASEMENT FOR THE KEISER AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
(PROJECT 17-18) AND THE SNYDER LANE WIDENING PROJECT (SAN
FRANCISCO DRIVE TO KEISER AVENUE — PROJECT 17-06)
WHEREAS, the City's General Plan requires improvements to Keiser Avenue and
Snyder Lane, including improvements to the intersection of Keiser Avenue and Snyder Lane, in
order to serve planned growth; and
WHEREAS, the University District Specific Plan and the City's Development
Agreement with the University District developer also require improvements to Keiser Avenue
and the Keiser Avenue -Snyder Lane intersection; and
WHEREAS, the Keiser Avenue Reconstruction Project (No. 17-18) and the Snyder Lane
Widening Project — San Francisco Drive to Keiser Avenue Project (No. 17-06) are both included
in the City's five year capital improvement program and the City Council awarded the
construction contract for the Keiser Avenue Reconstruction Phase 2A Project, on April 23, 2019;
and
WHEREAS, the City requires right-of-way and easement dedications to complete the
Keiser Avenue Reconstruction Project (No. 17-18) and the Snyder Lane Widening Project — San
Francisco Drive to Keiser Avenue Project (No. 17-06); and
WHEREAS, City staff and the University District developer are working actively to
secure necessary right-of-way from multiple property owners; and
WHEREAS, authorizing the City Manager to accept real property dedications for these
two authorized public improvement projects, subject to review and approval by the City
Attorney, will facilitate the implementation of these projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rohnert
Park that the City Manager is hereby authorized to accept real property by grant deed or
easement for the Keiser Avenue Reconstruction Project (Project 17-18) and the Snyder Lane
Widening Project (San Francisco Drive to Keiser Avenue — Project 17-06) for and on behalf of
the City of Rohnert Park, and to take any and all actions necessary to document the acceptance
of such real property interests, including execution of purchase and sale agreements and
certificates of acceptance, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney.
