A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS IN
THE FY 2018-19 BUDGET BY $10,600 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSET FORFEITURE
FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF EIGHT (8) BALLISTIC VESTS (SOFT BODY
ARMOR)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park adopted the FY 2018-19
Budget on June 12, 2018; and,
WHEREAS,the City Council has the authority to amend the budget; and,
WHEREAS; the City of Rohnert Park has a Memorandum of Understanding Agreement
with the Rohnert Park Public Safety Officers Association agreeing to purchase safety equipment,
to include a ballistic vest; and
WHEREAS; each Public Safety and Community Service Officer represented in the
agreement is currently issued a ballistic vest; and
WHEREAS; the Department has identified eight (8) vests that need to be purchased in
FY 2018-19; and
WHEREAS; the Federal Asset Forfeiture Fund (Fund 105) has funds available to
purchase of eight(8) ballistic vests;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rohnert
Park that it does hereby authorize and approve the Finance Director to increase appropriations in
the FY 2018-19 Budget by $10,600 from the Federal Asset Forfeiture Fund (Fund 105) for the
purchase of eight(8) ballistic vests (soft body armor).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to execute documents pertaining to same for and on behalf of the City of Rohnert Park.
DULY AND REGULARLY ADOPTED this 11 th day of June, 2019.
