Be able to perform a wildland fire size up
Proficiently perform vertical vent and hoizontal vent
Proficiently perform a 24' & 14' ladder raise single person
Day three:
Proficiently perform Apartment load and skid load deployments
Explain how to secure utilities
Explain how to set up for RIC
Explain how to salvage property inside a structure
Explain how to force entry in different situations
Day four:
Learn basic driving principles
Learn how to properly perform a pre-trip instruction on Fire apparatus
Learn about preventative maintenance
Day five:
Perform pre-trip inspection with little to no help
Learn turn radius, mirror use, maneuverability of fire apparatus via cone course
Day six:
Prficiently perform a pre-trip inspection with no help from instructors
Cont. learning turn radius, mirror use, and maneuverability of fire apparatus via cone course
Day seven:
Perform pre-trip inspection to Engineer academy standards unassisted
Be able to pass test and show proficiency on cone course
Day eight:
Learn and review Code 3 driving policy
Begin to show proficiency with driving on city/county roads
Day nine:
Learn basic pump parts, pump drives, and department apparatus specs
Learn basic pumping techniques (I/E/ flowing one line and establishing a water supply)
Learn basic friction loss
Learn basic % drop
Day ten:
Show proficiency with friction loss and % drop equations
Learn how to flow multiple lines
Learn about supply failures and how to overcome failures
Learn how to establish a/multiple supply lines
Day eleven:
Perform a wildland progressive hose lay as a crew
Learn to perform mobile attach on 9984
Learn about stand pipe operations
Learn how to Draft from a water source
Learn about FDC operations
Learn about Water Tender shuttle oeprations
Day twelve:
Learn about big water evolutions
Learn how to well a hydrant
Learn how to effectively flow a deck gun (aka master stream)
Learn how to efectively flow the Blitzfire
Learn how to relay pump
Day thirteen:
Show proficiency with all aforementioned pumping evolutions
Demonstrate placing Fire Department apparatus back in operational readiness
