Air Brake Tests
Static Brake Test
No more than 2 psi lost over 1 minute.
Manual Brake Test
Hold brake down for 1 minute. No more than 3 psi lost over 1 minute.
Low Air Pressure Warning Signal
Pump brake, low air warning signal should come on between 55 and 75 psi.
Spring Brake Automatically Applies
Continue to pump brake, Spring Brake should automatically apply between 20 and 55 psi.
Fill tanks at Idle RPMS
Start engine and watch that low air alarm goes off at approximately the same psi that it went off at.
Air Pressure Buildup
Tanks should fill from 90 to 110 psi in less than one minute.
Air Compressor Governor Cut-Out
Air pressure buildup should cut-out under 130 psi (Tanks stop filling, Audible sound).

Creating Command Group:
Press * to add channel to command group
Press # # ENT- Accesses command group
While in Command Bank
Press * to delete a single channel
Press and hold * to delete all channels from command group
General Directions:
ENT- add channel to scan list
CLR- deletes a channel from scan list
PRI- selects a channel as priority (Can only have 1 priority selected)
Opening Banks:
# 1 ENT- opens bank 1
# 2 ENT- opens bank 2
# 3 ENT- opens bank

Special Channels:
V-Fire’s – Universal TAC channel in California that every fire department has in their radios. Used
commonly for large scale initial attacks.
LNU WEST T10 – This will be “usually” our command channel for SRA fires in our area. If we were to talk
on this channel we would say “St. Helena”, 9982.
CDF TAC 6/10 – Primary Tac channels for SRA fires in our area.
