1. CITY COUNCIL/RPFA/SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE CDC JOINT SPECIAL
MEETING - CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Mayor Callinan called the special meeting to order at 11:00 a.m., the notice for which being
legally noticed on April 16, 2020.
Participating via Zoom Video Communications:
Joseph T. Callinan, Mayor

Susan H. Adams, Councilmember

Staff attending via Zoom Video Communications: City Manager Jenkins, Assistant City
Manager Schwartz, City Attorney Marchetta-Kenyon, Development Services Director
Pawson, Director of Public Safety Mattos, Director of Public Works and Community
Services McArthur, Deputy City Engineer Garrett, Senior Code Compliance Officer Kirk,
Senior Analyst Tacata, Management Analyst Beran, Interim Finance Manager Orozco,
Environmental Coordinator Bennett, Information Systems(IS)Operations Manager Rowley,
Assistant City Clerk Lopez and City Clerk Buergler.
Staff Present: Office Assistant Machado, IS Technician I Viyuda and IT Analyst Son.
2. DISCUSSION AND DIRECTION REGARDING NOVEL CORONAVIRUS
(COVID-19) RECOVERY
City Manager Jenkins presented the item. Recommended Action(s): discuss options
regarding City's road to recovery and provide staff direction.
Mayor Callinan declared a recess at 11:24 a.m. and reconvened the special meeting at 11:27
a.m.
PUBLIC COMMENT: Assistant City Clerk Lopez Cuevas read comments submitted by
Chris Borr, and Julie Royes.
ACTION: By consensus (none opposed) Council directed staff to send a letter to
Speaker Nancy Pelosi, US Senators Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris requesting
additional funding for local businesses and residents, talk to Veale regarding potential
advertising rates on digital billboard for businesses in the City that are currently open to
the public, publish an advertisement in the Press Democrat advertising businesses in the
City of Rohnert Park Special Meeting Minutes April 17,2020
for City Council Page 2 of 2
City that are open to the public and look into creating a "recovery center" to assist small
businesses and residents.
4. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Callinan adjourned the special meeting at 12:39 p.m.
