ROHNERT PARK PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION MINUTES
Jurre 15, 1998
The Rohnert Park Parks and Recreation Commission met this date at 5:00 p.m. for a tour of city facilities
followed by an adjourned meeting at the Rohnert Park city offices, 6750 Commerce Boulevard, Rohnert
Park. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with Chair Stevens presiding and leading the Pledge
of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL Present: (5) Commissioners Allred, Carlson, Griffin, and Stevens
Absent: (0)
Late: (1) Commissioner Tatman
Also present for the entire meeting was Interim Director of Recreation, Ron
Mikalis.
APPROVAL
OF MINUTES Approval of the regular meeting minutes for the meeting of May 18, 1989, was
deferred until the Commission's meeting on July 20.
TATMAN
ARRIVES At approximately 7:05 p.m. Commissioner Tatman arrived at the meeting.
SENIOR CENTER Commissioner Carlson reported she had attended the Senior Advisory Commission
meeting and swearing -in ceremony for two new commissioners who were
appointed to the Senior Advisory Commission. She also gave a report on topics
concerning seniors from the California Parks and Recreation Society Conference
she had attended in March.

OF RECREATION
Monthly Reports Interim Director Mikalis asked if there were questions regarding the monthly
reports for the Community Center, Sports Center, or Senior Center. No one had
any questions.
Policies for Outdoor
Facilities The Director recommended establishing guidelines and fees for rental of the city's
tennis courts.

Playground Safety The Commission discussed the safety of playground surfaces.
ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m. to a regular
meeting to be held on Monday, July 20, 1998, at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall council
chambers, 6750 Commerce Boulevard.
