January 3, 2003
The City Council has accepted the resignation of the City Manager effective April
16, 2003. The City Manager will be on administrative leave beginning today and
ending on April 15, 2003. Steve Donley will be the Acting City Manager. The
City Manager has an employment agreement with the City of Rohnert Park that
entitled him to cash out his benefits upon separation from City service and to
receive severance pay and certain other retirement benefits. The total due under
the contract is $322,922.83.. In addition the City Manager will purchase the
vehicle he has been using for 40% of its current value.
On January 7, 2003, the City Council will formalize this action by adopting an
Agreement between Mr. Netter and the City Council. The City Council will also
discuss the process for selecting a new City Manager at that meeting.
The City Council wants to thank Mr. Netter for his 25 years of dedicated service
to the City of Rohnert Park and wants to wish him well in all of his future
endeavors.
