A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK
ADOPTING THE AMENDED RECREATION FACILITY USE FEE
SCHEDULE
WHEREAS; the City of Rohnert Park operates five rentable facilities; and
WHEREAS, City staff conducted an analysis of the fee setting methodology for various
user groups, and has determined that the fee schedule requires modifications to create more
equity; and
WHEREAS, staff discovered that some recreation facilities did not offer peak and off-
peak rental rates and others did; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to provide equitable opportunities for renters at all five
rentable facilities by offering the same type of rental categories at each location; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to support the long-time renters at Burton Avenue
Recreation Center, the Rohnert Park Community Band and the Rohnert Park Chorale, by setting
a fee specifically for those user groups; and
WHEREAS,the City desire to support youth sports organizations through discounted
rental rates; and
WHEREAS,the proposed fee schedule creates a fee for youth swim teams at City pools.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rohnert
Park that it does hereby authorize and approve the amended Recreation Facility Use Fee
Schedule.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution will supersede and replace
Resolution No. 2019-078.
DULY AND REGULARLY ADOPTED this 11 day of January, 2022.
