Law & Department Policy
California Penal Code Section 14211 and RPDPS policy requires we take a Missing Persons
Report from anyone who wishes to report a person as a missing or runaway, without delay
If MP is under 21 or at risk, BOLO must be distributed no more than an hour after determining age
or at‐risk
Detective Supplemental Report at least once every 30 days
What can the
reporting party
can do to help?
Collect voluntary biological sample (MP’s hair brush, swabs from family members, etc.)
