Suggested Procedure:
Crew in full PPE, FF in SCBA
Engine spots at designated water supply, FF exits, obtains supply hose and tools for a forward lay
o Traffic cones, hydrant wrench, adaptors as needed
FF anchors supply hose, using wrap method. FF provides direction to engine to advance “GO”.
Engine proceeds to objective <5 mph.

Engine stops at truck and prepares for reverse lay
Engine FF anchors supply hose, using wrap method. FF provides direction to engine to advance “GO”.
Traffic cones, hydrant wrench, adaptors as needed
Engine proceeds to water supply <5 mph.
Engine arrives at water supply, ENG exits, obtains supply hose and tools, makes hydrant connection.
Connects the supply hose to the LDD of the apparatus.
Truck FF connects the supply hose directly to the ladder pipe inlet.
Upon completion of aerial MS set up, Truck ENG notifies the Engine ENG “WATER” by direct hand signals
or radio communications
Engine ENG acknowledged by “WATER COMING” and LDD opened slowly.
Engine FF advances toward the Engine, returns hydrant tools to engine, removes any supply hose kinks.
Engine ENG operates pump to gain 100 NP at MS.
