Furt er general discussion of pool management with recommendations of the past
pool manager considered, was as follows: It, was felt that the pool rules
and regulations should be enforced more strongly to provide a safer and more
enjoyable pool environment. Also, a better system should be devised to keep
patrons from entering the pool without paying. The Recreation Commission was in
agreement that the concession portion of the pool could be more efficiently
and profitably handled by an outside businessman -nd it we s felt that bids
could be gotten for the concession operation. The Recreation Commission felt
that a more efficient handling of the daily receipts of the pool was needed
for the protection of all involved. The Recreation Commission feels that
the manager should deposit the pool receipts each following morning at the
bank before going on duty at the pool. Elizabeth Cochran will investigate the
handling of the pool receipts for Montgomery Village Pool in Santa Rosa and will
give the Recreation Commission a report at the next meet'ng.
Some discussion was held regarding a promotion for the pool opening, however,
nothing definate was decided and further discussion on this matter will be held.
"lhe plan for the "A" neighborhood park was presc,n.ted in rough farm to the
committee for discussion. This plan will be more greatly discussed at the
February 20th meeting. It was felt that the 20-30 Club in Rohnert Park should
be contacted for assistance in putting the plan into effect.
