1974/11/04 City Council MinutesCall to Order ROHNERT PARK CITY COUNCIL'MINUTES November 4, 1974 The Council of the City of Rohnert Park met this date in regular session commencing at 7:00 p.m. in the City Offices, 6750 Commerce Boulevard, Rohnert Park, with Mayor Beary presiding. The regular session was pre- ceded by a special executive session which commenced at 6:30 p.m. and at which all Councilmen except Councilman Smith, Assistant to the City Manager Albright, City Attorney Flitner, Deputy City Clerk Logue, and Attorney William C. Brinton of the firm of Cotton, Seligman & Ray, were present for all or part of the executive session, and which was held to discuss litigation and personnel matters. Mayor Beary called the meeting of the regular session to order at approximately 7:15 p.m. and led the pledge of ,allegiance. Roll Call Present: (4) Councilmen Eck, Flores, Hopkins, and Beary Absent: (1) Councilman Smith Staff present for all or part of the meeting: Assistant to the City Manager Albright and City Attorney Flitner Peter M. Callinan, Jr. Amoment of silent prayer was observed for the family of Peter M. Callinan, Jr, Agenda Mayor Beary announced that only three items on the agenda would be considered and the remainder deferred to the November 11th adjourned meeting so that those desiring to attend the funeral services for Peter M. Callinan, Jr. might do so. Resolution No. 74155 A RESOLUTION DIRECTING MAKING OF AMENDED ASSESSMENT RE CERTAIN ASSESSMENTS UNDER RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 68-58, SEWER AND WATER PROJECT NO. 1967-5, CITY OF ROHNERT PARK, ASSESSMENT NO. 5 Assistant to the City Manager Albright explained the resolution. Upon motion of Councilman Hopkins, seconded by Councilman Eck, and unanimously approved, reading of Resolution No. 74-155 was waived and said resolution was adopted. Project No, 1964-1 Assistant to the City Manager Albright explained the Amended Assessment amended assessment for Project No. 1964-1. No. 1.1.2 Mayor Beary declared the scheduled public hearing open on Project No. 1964-1, Amended Assessment No. 1.1.2. Page 2> November 4, 1974 Assistant to the City Manager Albright advised that notice of the public hearing had been published in the local newspaper. There being no one desiring to be heard and no corre- spondence received, Mayor Beary declared the public hearing closed. Resolution No. 74 -156 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING AMENDED ASSESSMENT, SANITARY SEWERAGE PROJECT NO. 1964 -1, CITY OF ROHNERT PARK, ASSESSMENT NO. 1.1.2 Upon motion of Councilman Hopkins, seconded by Councilman Flores, and unanimously approved, reading of Resolution No. 74 --156 was waived and said resolution was adopted. Project No. 1974 -10 Assistant to the,City Manager Albright briefly reviewed Alicia Park Tennis City Manager Callinan's memo to the Council. dated Nov. 4, Court Lights 1974 concerning Project No. 1974 -10 and the bids received for the project. A brief discussion followed. Resolution No. 74-157 A RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT, ALICIA PARK TENNIS COURT LIGHTS, PROJECT NO. 1974 -10 Upon motion of Councilman Flores, seconded by Councilman Hopkins, and unanimously approved reading of Resolution No. 74»157 was waived and said resolution was adopted.
