The Senior Citizens Advisory Commission of the City of
Rohnert Park met this date in regular session commencing
at 3:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall , 6750
Commerce Boulevard , Rohnert Park , with Chairman Chase
presiding.
Call to Order Chairman Chase called the regular session to order at
approximately 3:00 p .m. and led the pledge of allegiance.

Present : (4 ) Commissioners Kennedy , Jennis , Jurgiel and
Chairman Chase
Absent : ( 1 ) Commissioner Lyons
Staff present for all or part of the meeting:
Administrative Assistant Caroline Fabio and Secretary ,
Lillian Brooks.
Approval of
Minutes Upon a motion by Commissioner Kennedy , seconded by
Commissioner Jennis , the Minutes of March 15 , 1990, was
approved by the following vote:
AYES: (4 ) Commissioners Kennedy , Jennis , Jurgiel and
Chairman Chase
ABSENT: ( 1 ) Commissioner Lyons

Posting of
the Agenda Chairman Chase stated that the Secretary had posted the
Agenda as required by law in three (3 ) public locations
within the time period required.

PSO Ellis Public Safety Officer John Ellis presented before the
Commission a report on earthquake preparedness. Office
Ellis distributed literature to the Commission as well as
those in attendance of which a copy is attached to the
original of these minutes. Discussion followed.

Wendy Audiss Due to illness , Wendy Audiss was unable to speak at this
meeting as scheduled.

Matters from
Commissioners
Flo Jennis Commissioner Flo Jennis informed the Commission that she
has received information from the Senior Residential Care
Council of Sonoma County about the frail and elderly .
Discussion followed.
Commissioner Jennis also informed the Commission that the
Fun After Fifty Club has thus far donated approximately
$800 to the Codding Center.
Ann Kennedy Commissioner Kennedy advised that the Recreation
Department will make the final decision concerning the
Boutique Board. Commissioner Kennedy will report back at
the next meeting.
John Chase Chairman Chase brought up many issues affecting seniors
today. He stressed the importance of writing to your
Representative to express your feelings and opinions on
issues that affect you. Chairman Chase also read an
article that appeared in the Clarion informing that the
HARP Stockton Chapter was proposing a state-wide meeting.

Adjourned There being no further business to discuss and no one
further desiring to be heard , Chairman Chase adjourned
the meeting of the Rohnert Park Senior Citizens Advisory
Commission at approximately 3:51 p.m.
