SENIORCITIZENS ADVISORY COMMISSION MINUTES
September 20, 2007
The Senior Citizens Advisory Commission of the City of Rohnert Park
met this date in regular session commencing at 1:00 p.m. at the Senior
Center,6800 Hunter Drive, Suite A, Rohnert Park, with Chair Ackerman
presiding.
Call to Order Chair Ackerman called the regular session to order at approximately
1:00 p.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call Present(3)Commissioners: Ackerman, Hawker, and Sampson.
Staff present: Vicki Wilkerson, Betty l nngali, and Berm Altman.
Approval of The minutes of the May 17, 2007 meeting were approved with one
Minutes correction to change the date of the hearing screenings to the 2 a Mon..
• Posting of Secretary Sampson acknowledged that the agenda was posted as required
the agenda by law in three (3)public locations within the time period required.

Recreation Vicki Wilkerson made her report to both the Senior Advisory and
Supervisor the Senior Support Committee. The financial report is attached.
Report TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) have 9 in their group and will be
having meetings here regularly.
The December Cruise has 42 going and only 3 spaces left.
The new handicapped Van is at public works as some changes are
needed. The steps are too far out and there is no rail to hold onto.
Steps will be changed, door locks will be installed, front seat goes
back too far and passenger side entry will be fixed. The plans are to
keep the old handicapped Van,take out the lift and use it here as a
regular Van.
Martha had 2 trips that brought in $225.00. Casino trips made $428.00.
The Old and New Market lost money after deducting ads and other
expenses. We will have all the sales tables outside and have food
service inside for the next market Travel with Friends made $306.00.
Reno trip$586.00 and pancake breakfast made $588.00.
Auditions for the Variety Show are scheduled for November 3Td .
Tickets for the show will be $12.00
An appreciation dinner for volunteers having 40 or more hours will
be held September 28th at the community center.
Senior Extravaganza entertainment show will be September 21't
with Joe Trengali as host.
Coming up: a beading class Sat, Sept. 29th, Reno Overnight Oct.
24th and 25t.,and a Day at the Races Nov. 17t..
