Report Tim Barry explained Resolution No. 2000-194 A Resolution of the City Council
of the City of Rohnert Park Establishing Policy for Service on Boards,
Committees and Commissions.
Recreation Specialist Past events went very well—the Musical/Comedy Revue and the No-Money-
Auction, both August events. Upcoming events include the Karaoke Party, Game
Tim, 50 Club Fair, Variety Show, Bingo Party, Thanksgiving Dinner, Candidate's
Social. We've been the site for many insurance seminars and received over
$500.00 in revenue for these informational seminars. The raffle at Sonoma
County Youth sports' Bingo has been going well. We've received over $500
from these raffles. Nurse Nicole is continuing her toenail trimming—we received
$90.00 from this in September. Wendy had a meeting with Kathy Dennison,
manager of the Rohnert Park branch of the library, regarding transportation and
book drop locations one the library moves into its new building. We have several
SSU student volunteers helping out on the Sunshine Bus. New flooring has been
installed in the Suite C restrooms to protect the AR floor in case of future leaks.
Kitchen and bread rooms will be painted, as well as the men's restroom in Suite
A. Unfortunately Wendy has had to contact Adult Protective Services and the
Council on Aging Case Management regarding seniors who were in need of
assistance. See attached for statistics.
Park & Rec Liaison Gary Tatman spoke about the next two meetings, Oct. 7 and one in November,
where they will hold public hearings on the Park & Recreation Master Plans.
Gary invited seniors to express their needs and wants for the future. The
Commission holds their meetings at City Hall,
