The Christmas luncheon will be Monday, December 15, 2002. It was reported that Joe Netter received his invitation and is pleased to be coming. Discussion on other City Officials and staff members who will be attending the luncheon. 4 Mondays in November for a total attendance of 404. Dining Site: Senior Meals served 599 Craft Shoppe: Nov. Sales $819.02, $82.00 to the Senior Center, $644.57 in commissions to 55 consigners. There are 55 active consigners, 186 visitors. Sales were average in Nov. compared to last Nov. A good start for Dec., to date sales are at $500.00. Senior Advisory: no report given Recreation Specialist: Vicki reported in Wendy's absence. See attached for statistics. Dates given fbr Winter Picnic & Bingo, Volunteer Tea. Other items will he discussed upon Wendy's return Senior Programs Coordinator: No cash donations, $82.00 to date, average mo. Expense $9. 10. Year to date supplies $316.05. Received a card from Helen Holler who very much appreciated our bus taking her shopping for the Holidays. Her"Let's Go Shopping" day was truly successful! No Day Trips due to winter, however working on a cruise. Details were given. Super Bowl Party Scheduled for Sunday, January 26, 2003, tickets available 1st week of January. Raffle prize on display in the lobby, tickets available now. Raffle prizes will be hopefully collected in January by Jim Wilkerson. • 4111 Page 2 of 2 Reminder Black and White Ball scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2003. Deco's are being worked on now. Vicki and Wendy recieved a private donation. Both Wendy and Vicki received $500.00 each. Discussion followed on how that money will be used. Recreation Director: Wished everyone Happy Holidays. Tim and Vicki attended the Tuesday night Council Meeting were Vicki Vidak-Martinez was elected Mayor and Greg Nordin was elected Vice-Mayor. The Councils theme is Economic Development. The Chamber sponsored the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony hosted at the Sports Center. It was a lovely event. Santa arrived on a Harley with sidecar. The Community Center will be closed December 23-January 1, 2003, as well as other City offices and Departments. This is being done to economize and continue efforts to save money and resources. The Sports Center, Performing Arts Theatre and Senior Center will remain open.
