will include Hot Dog Friday.... an event we hope to have every month. The next Hot
Dog Friday/Bingo Party is July 16. The next Bingo Party will be on November 19.
We need to do as many fund raising events as possible to raise money to replace that lost
by not doing the Black & White Ball. We will be about $160.000 in red in our budget.
A man has discussed with Vicki the possibility of doing a day of playing records and
possibly have dancing also. He has a collection of 78's full of golden oldies.
December will be rather low key. Our annual Christmas Party is tentatively scheduled
for December.
Recreation Supervisor: On May 7th Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey gave a seminar on
the new drug plans authorized by Medicare. Confusion about these plans was rempant.
Betty Ferra was approved as a new Senior advisory member. The next Senior Advisory
meeting will be September 16 and is combined with the Board of Directors.
Our cruise on the Princess to Hawaii has been rescheduled to September 23-October 8,
2005, thereby saving approximately $500 per person since it is after season rates drop.
We are planning trips with Travel with Friends. We will register people as we usually do
and will bet a commission from this company. This is a fundraising for us. Trips
scheduled in the near future: EUREKA-FERNDALE ON SEPTEMBER 20-21; RENO
OVERNITE IN OCTOBER; AND HEARST CASTLE IN DECEMBER!

Oakland Museum August 25(fare $12.00); San Francisco Farmers Market(fare $15.00).
The bulletin board in the Drop In has been rearranged into sections: Drop In Events, Day
Trips, and Excursions. Notices can only be posted for one week, but people can come in
to re-post.
A memorial was held for Dick Johnson. It was a lovely event. There is no charge for
memorials but donations are always welcome.
A movie"Bob" will be shown on July 23 and stars our own Dorothy Kral!
A Flea Market& Bake Sale is scheduled for July 30th
Our annual Variety Show is scheduled for November 6; auditions on September 3.
Martha's trip to Jack London Square($22.00 fare) netted $22.00
Vintage Choir Concert on June 27 netted $1600!
Dorothy Kral reported that two police officers from the new Public Safety unit would like
to set up time to meet with people at the Senior Center. This will be referred to Fun after
50 to make arrangements.
Dorothy Kral volunteered to research for seminars on a variety of issues.
Vicki will do quarterly report showing last year/current month for Board's edification.
She will call special meeting if necessary.
Elaine Sampson asked about charge to advertise Altamont Flea Market in newsletter.
Vicki told her an insert flyer is $50.00. Post Office charges by weight of SCAN. She
will discuss other rates with Elaine.
Berni Altman suggested meeting be held in Classroom as more intimate, etc. She was
voted down as it was thought to he too cold and possibly not enough room for a joint
meeting.
Next meeting will be held on Thursday, September 16 following the Senior Advisory.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at approximately 2:30 pm.
Respectfully submitted:
Berni Altman, Secretary
