2012/07/16 Parks and Recreation Commission MinutesParks and Recreation Commission July 16,2012 Page 2 of2 Golf Course Oversight Committee - Next meeting July 17, 2012. A repOli will be provided at the next Parks and Recreation commission meeting. The City will be recruiting non-golfers to serve on this committee. Senior Citizen's Advisory Committee - Last meeting was held on September 20,2011 Bicycle Advisory Committee - Last meeting was held on June 25,2012. Chair Griffin repOlis the meeting consisted of one agenda item, the SMART rail multi-use path. Rick Pedroncelli, Senior Engineering Technician, attended the meeting to provide information on the City's potential plans to build an undercrossing between L-Section and Sonoma Mountain Village, and conveliing the two tracks at Copeland Creek to 1 track 5. Matters to/from Commissioners - Community Services Manager Miller updates the commission on the events happening in the community. Three (3) of the four (4) Fanners Markets have been well- attended. A new printer will be used for the activity guides and the next activity guide will be distributed in late August. The Alis and Music Festival will be held on August 25,2012. The City's 50th Anniversary committee has made progress in coordinating the City's 50th Anniversary celebration to be held on September 15, 2012. A 50th Anniversary committee representative will present a status update on the committee's progress at the next Parks and Recreation commission meeting. The Cultural Alis commission is working on getting an mi piece displayed in front of the library. The City held a 4th of July event for the community with approximately 800 people in attendance. Adjournment There being no fUliher business, Chair Griffin adjourned the regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission at 7:36 pm. Next meeting will be Monday, August 20, 2012.
