5.1 Approval of the Draft Minutes of the Planning Commission Regular Meeting of March 13, 2025
ACTION: Moved/Seconded (Austin-Dillon/Epstein) to approve the Minutes of the Planning Commission Regular Meeting of March 13, 2025. Motion carried by the following 5-0-0 roll call vote: AYES: Lam, Austin-Dillon, Campbell, Epstein; NOES: None; ABSENT: Orloff.
6.AGENDA ITEM
6.1 PUBLIC HEARING-SOMO VILLAGE 2N-A TENTATIVE MAP-File No. PLSD24-0001. Applicant/Owner Matt Lawton For SOMO Village LLC. The Planning Commission considered a recommendation to the City Council for approval of a Tentative Map (CEQA: Consistent with the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and Supplemental EIR for the Sonoma Mountain Village Planned Development).
ACTION: Moved/Seconded (Orloff/Austin-Dillon) to approve Resolution 2025-03 approving a Tentative Map (CEQA: Consistent with the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and Supplemental EIR for the Sonoma Mountain Village Planned
Development).
Motion carried by the following unanimous (5-0-0) roll call vote: A YES: Lam,
Orloff, Austin-Dillon, Campbell, Epstein; NOES: None; ABSENT: None
6.2 PUBLIC HEARING-INFORMATIONAL ITEM-GENERAL PLAN AND HOUSING ELEMENT ANNUAL PROGRESS REPORT -Housing Manager, Jenna Garcia, presented to the Planning Commission the Annual Report on the Status of the General Plan and Housing
Element for the Calendar Year 2024. No action was required, as this project falls outside the scope of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
7.ITEMS FROM PLANNING COMMISSION
Commissioner Campbell expressed appreciation to the staff for their prompt responses to his
questions for this meeting and for coordinating his participation in the Planning Commission
Training Academy. Commissioner Austin-Dillon inquired about the signage related to student
enrollment at Sonoma State University. Chair Orloff extended his appreciation for the Planning
Commission Training session.
8.ITEM FROM DEVELOPMENT SERVICES STAFF
Christina Ratcliffe, the Planning Advisor, indicated that no information had been received from
the Development Service Staff.
9.ADJOURNMENT
Chairperson Marc Orloff adjourned the Planning Commission Meeting at 7:18 p.m.
