No Kill High Kill is really high volume No kill 90% live release rate 2019 we were at 94% LRR 2020 we were at 93% LRR 2021 we were at 94% LRR Staff & Volunteers We have 3 full time positions One 1456 hour (30 hours/week) Seven 1000 hour staff (20 hours/ week) 100 volunteers and we need more! Vision Statement: To become a community where every animal is valued and assured humane treatment. Mission Statement: To find responsible, loving homes for all of our animals. We accomplish this by actively promoting adoptions, redemptions and owner retention through education and other programs offered to our community. Promoting adoptions: Website Facebook and Instagram Pet of the week ad in the Community Voice KSRO- pet of the week wed morning Adoption events & specials Increase Redemptions: In 2021 we took in 188 stray dogs and 149 stray cats 86% of the dogs, but only 24% of the cats were reclaimed That left 26 stray dogs and 113 stray cats to rehome in addition to the owner surrenders and others let's get them back home! Ad in PD classified Increase owner retention help with behavior issues dog training classes pet food pantry link to pet friendly rentals surrenders by appointment rethinking community cats Animal Shelter League of RP 501(c)3 organziation All volunteer Raises $$ on our behalf Animal services provided Community service officers (CSO) do animal control in RP Animal rescue Bite quarantine potentially dangerous/ dangerous animal declarations bring in stays contained by the public protective custody animals (arrest, medical emergencies) barking dog/ neglect complaints
